    DESCRIPTION

Champagne Irroy Brut Rosé NV because you always need Champagne in the fridge. This sparkling wine has a pretty cool story. Originally founded in 1820 and a member of the Grande Marques, it was purchased by Taittinger in 1955. It’s a lot smaller production than its new owner. Irroy has been allowed to focus on a small range of Champagnes that show off the uniqueness of this old house.

This Brut Rosé is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. It's actually a blend of 20 different vintages too. This is important as it adds a lot of developed and mature flavours that vintage Champagne is famous for. However, as it's in a Non-Vintage, you don't have the price tag attached.

To clarify, non-vintage is a blend of vintages, this gives the house a little wiggle room to produce wine every year. Vintage is juice only from a particular year and needs to be a certain quality level. With this expression of NV, you get some fresh aroma and flavour, with a lot of length and complexity in the palate.
