French for ‘pétillant naturel’, or ‘naturally sparkling’, pet-nat wines are sparkling wines with a fun, lively nature. They differ from the norm in that rather undergoing the methodical uniformity of the traditional process, the first (and only in this case) fermentation is interrupted and the wine bottled, with the fermentation finishing in bottle. This generally makes them effortlessly quaffable and great value!
