Pet-Nat
As wine lovers around the world continue to become more and more open to new styles of fizz, the choices are no longer limited to Cava, Champagne, and Prosecco. One, in particular, pétillant naturel, or pét-nat, is a hit in the millennial scene, becoming a popular new style for domestic wine production. As it happens, the style isn’t new at all. Pet-nat is basically the easiest method to get bubbles into wine and it was the first way that sparkling wine was ever produced, earning it the name Méthode Ancestrale.
Pet Nat is short for Pétillant-Naturel which is French for Naturally Sparkling. In a nutshell; this means the bubbles formed during fermentation. The smart thing is that Pet Nat’s can continue to develop flavours. Our offering here are different varieties but all made the same way. Look out for some floral and fruity aromatics, a refreshing palate and a bready or semi scented finish.
