First thing's first - don't be alarmed by the colour of this rosé. Us Brits have been conditioned to believe all dark-pink rosés are the vitriolic sweet kinds that adorned park benches in our youth. This could not be further from the truth nowadays!

The reason for the darker colour here is a long, slow press of the grapes, meaning more colour is extracted from the skins. The juice itself is dry, fresh, full of red berries and great as an aperitif.

The domaine of Les Pierres d'Aurèle built a strong reputation in the 19th century and has been completely modernised and refreshed since 2010. The winemakers have adopted environmentally friendly practices, strongly believing that focused on the quality of the wines they produce stems from healthy vines.
